I Bought a New Car

The car can go 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds, so it was a slight step up from my last car which can do 60 in 20 seconds.

Sleep? What is it Good For?

We have a 1 and a 1/2 year old baby girl going through the pangs of weaning and settling into her own bed at night.  She eats three square meals a day, and snacks, but she is so used to suckling at night to sleep that she expects the dessert all the time.

I think this is just one of those things that takes time and patience.  Last night, I stood in her room at bedside for about an hour, singing songs, and keeping her comfortable.  She finally fell asleep, but woke a few hours later.  She is a determined little girl, and hates the change, but her parents are just as determined now to get this right.

The baby has a sibling coming along next summer, so it is important to get these two things completed before then.  Hopefully by then she’ll be getting into potty training mode.

I have been praying for more understanding when it comes to caring for my child late at night.  I am a grumpy person when my sleep has been disrupted.  She could care less that I am a grumpy person that requires hours of uninterrupted sleep in order to be a fruitful individual at my workplace.

Life is fun and challenging for new parents.  Yet, it is never boring!

Celtics Are Looking Great!

The Celtics have had their best start in years.  9-0 at home makes them comparable to the C’s of 85-86.  Championship bells in your ears anyone?  (Premature, yes).

With the Big Three of the 21st Century having a field day against basically anyone that plays at Boston, this could turn into a season for the record books.

Yes, after 15 games or so, I am forecasting way too much.  All three are not exactly reaching their prime at this stage in their careers, but all three have shown no signs of stopping the domination.  Once again, we have a fun basketball team in Boston.

Highlight of the season has to be Allen’s 3 point beater to win the game.  This reminded me of old Larry Bird tapes.  The man is just clutch.

Have fun Celtic fans, we are the team to beat this year.  Those men are hungry for the ring, and are tired of losing.
