NBA, are you next?

May 13, 2009

Dan and Jamie both brought up good points regarding professional sports

He believes that Lebron is likely using PEDs or an unnatural human growth supplemant.  There is no evidence to support this fact, so it is presumed he is innocent, but the fact remains, the NBA is not immune to this problem.

Manny Roidmeriz

May 8, 2009

Manny was caught.

Now we will play the guessing game trying to figure out if the 2004 champs were tainted in a tainted era of baseball.

I tell you, I’m this close in giving up on the MLB.

What a series.

May 3, 2009

Sure, this is much easier to write when my team came out on top, but the Celtics-Bulls series was probably the best I’ve seen in a long time.  I have no idea how they’ll do against Dwight Howard and Orlando, but the fact is, they are alive and moving on to the next round.  They do have home court advantage.

Pierce needs to start stepping up big time like he did against Kobe last year.  I think it will be a fun series.

Look for the Bulls to be a contender next season.

Look for the Lakers to start their fade in the coming seasons.

Hard day at work.  Messy house.  WTF?

DHS – Right Wing Extremists

April 15, 2009

So, the other Janet says that you are a terrorist Right Wing Extremist if you have any of the following characteristics:

1. Pro Life
2. Pro Second Amendment
3. Libertarian
4. Pro State’s Rights
5. Anti-Government
6. Tax Protester
7. War Veteran

I’m sure there’s more. Seems like they don’t like critical analysis at all. You have something negative to say, true or not, you might be a terrorist.

If you have any of these characteristics, you are a danger to society.

I want to say that I’m surprised, but I’m not. More so, I’m saddened to see our country go down the toilet of totalitarianism.

God is my King, not some president who cut his teeth on communism and leftist radicalism.

Media Hysteria Against Guns

April 7, 2009

With the current crop of news (Binghamton, Pittsburgh) involving multiple shootings, you would think that the availability of weapons is the cause of these shootings. You would think wrong.

People are starting to snap under the current economic situation. Stress is high, and some people reach mental insanity sooner than they would under normal conditions.

The shooter in New York state that shot down a bunch of immigrants had recently lost his job.

The crazy dude that opened fire and killed three cops was worried that Obama was going to take his right to carry away. (Why would killing cops prove a point)?

We are in some serious times. The media (and certain Democrats and neoconservatives) want to take the weapons away. They want you to believe that you’ll be safer if you don’t have your own gun. Government and media, walking hand in hand, want us to be babysat.

First, I would recommend to all to embrace God. Read his Word. Follow Jesus! He is the true King, and will reign victorious, and the time is sooner than ever (that kind of goes without saying, but I felt I should mention it).

Second. Get your guns. Learn how to maintain them, and how to fire them. Be prepared to use them if the unlikely situation arises. Don’t be stupid about them, they are not to be treated like some video game. When handling them, there should be some amount of calm fear. A respect that says you know that this can be used for good as a tool towards freedom.

Again, times are tough. People are getting desperate. Some choose crime when times get tough. Our job is to stop them from hurting us. (With thanks to Dragnet).

So sleep well, knowing that someone somewhere is attempting the constant process of limiting our freedom and rights. Or do something about it.

Google April Fool’s Joke

April 1, 2009

Was perhaps their lamest yet.

This year, I don’t have anything good.  So refer back to last year’s for a nice chuckle.  If only it were true.

It certainly seems we’ve been played the fools since 1/20.

Trust the Lord, oh my soul!

March 24, 2009

Woke up this morning, and foolishly started the day with Drudge Report, instead of God’s Word. Immediately, I was accosted with the headlines stating that both the Kremlin and Beijing are planning some sort of international monetary system to erase the US Fiat currency system. Obama wants even more power to seize control over firms, and the madman of N. Korea wants to a launch a satellite.

This world is insane. Then I finally turned to God’s Word. Exodus 14:1-18. God purposely places his people in a vulnerable position against the sea and surrounded by mountains (I believe, didn’t research what Migdol and Pihahiroth were, actually).

Pharaoh saw the perceived weakness of the Hebrews and pursued them.

God states, I will fight for you, and you will hold your peace.

In spite of their grumbling and antsy complaints, God reassured them. God protected them.

We all need to trust God, because He knows what he’s doing.

Well done, Mr. Schilling

March 23, 2009

I for one, will miss Curt Schilling in the rotation. Sure, he was a loud mouth who didn’t hesitate to express his opinion.

That is probably why I will miss him. As you get to know me, you’ll realize I share those traits.

He promised to bring the World Series back to Boston, and he fulfilled that promise. Twice.

The bloody sock will go down as one of the greatest moments in baseball history. Period. The man was a mule that carried the team on his back during the 2004 ALCS.

Good luck in your new life, Curt. God bless you.

No Coincidence

March 4, 2009

This is today’s Bible verse of the day on my iGoogle:

1 Timothy 4:1 – Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Very interesting, because at church, we’ve been going through the book of Acts.  Last Sunday, the pastor spoke about the wolves in sheep clothing.  Some come from the outside, some from within.  Paul warned against such men who seek to devour the sheep.

The scripture continues:

2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

I think we can name a few organizations that encourage such practices.  Sadly, the great denominations of yore have become rotten to the core.  When a group of “believers” can debate about whether it is right to allow gay clergy, that church lost the way years ago!

4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Word of God and prayer.  Two of the basic duties that help keep a Christian from falling away.  Those are our fences that keep us sheep from wondering too far from the Shepherd.

Remember, no matter how lost you are, God, the Good Shepherd, knows where to find you and how to bring you back home.
