Is Conservatism Dead?

November 5, 2008

This may spell the death of the GOP as we know it.  For years, we have allowed the neoconservative movement run things, and frankly, people were fed up.  Since most of the left believes Bush is representative of true conservatism, they swung more socialist by electing the most liberal senator.

Congratulations, GOP, you may finally be on your way back to your libertarian roots.  It will take years of infighting and grassroots movements, but I hope and pray this spells the death of the neocon super power.

Am I worried about our president elect?  No, not really.  Sure, the man is for breaking the necks of newborn babies, but he will have to contend with God with his decisions.  I pray the man starts reading some non-socialist literature, embraces Austrian Economics, and shrinks the fed.  Fat chance.  Maybe after four years of an Obama presidency, Americans will tire of the liberal wings of the Republican and Democrat parties.

You see, we had our chance.  Ron Paul.  Here was a man of sound economic and diplomatic principals.  A man who warned us about Fannie and Freddie and the implications of government sponsored enterprises.  Unfortunately, the media stifled him, and the neoconservative establishment ridiculed him.

Fortunately, he’s not done.  Just go to http://campaignforliberty.com/ and sign up.  Start to bring real change to this country.

Impending Doom

July 16, 2008

It is coming fine folks.  It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to realize that we as Americans are in for some rocky times.  You think the dollar is at an all time low?   You ain’t seen nothing yet.  I’ve posted about this before, and I’m posting about it again, but we have made a total mess out of this country.  That is right, we!  You can’t just blame anyone person.  If you took out one of those dandy ARM loans and couldn’t afford it when the interest rate shot up, then you were foolish.  A culmination of idiots from the White House to the poor house, are to blame for our situation.

Will America recover?  Maybe.  It won’t be the same though.  You won’t like the way things are run.  Overregulation will be a way of life.  It stands to get worse before it gets better.

But Metaljaybird, you’re just a crazy lunatic libertarian preaching conspiracy theories.  Right.  All you naysayers that were saying “No, the housing market won’t bust” are now scrambling for your lives to try and get next month’s payment.  While you drive your big SUVs still making monthly payments to, you no longer say “Fill er up with premium”, now you’re stuck at saying “25 regular” with your sad frown as you can no longer afford your exaggerated way of life.

Face it, times have changed.  I am no perfect soul, but my wife and I worked hard a few years ago to pay off our credit cards (they are gone now), school loans, and car loans.  We read between the lines.

This is nothing to celebrate.  No, but it is something that we should all have expected, not just the crazy anarchists and libertarians.

My advise:  Pack some lead and learn how to shoot a pistol.  Purchase a shotgun and defend your family.
